We provide education, service, worship, fellowship, and travel opportunities for our children and families at Christ the King Church to help our parents in their raising and guiding their children in fulfilling their baptismal promises. Sunday School begins when your child is 2 years old and continues through 6th grade through our Godly Play program. After 6th grade, your child enters into our youth ministry program, Luther League. During the school year, we meet from 9:30-10:45 AM. We have children’s music gatherings at the beginning of Sunday School and afterwards children go to their classrooms for their Godly Play story, work and feast.

We have many wonderful opportunities for children that go beyond just attending Sunday school. Children’s Ministry holds yearly activities where children can build relationships with children and caring adults, grow in their faith, and have fun! Some of our planned events include: Rally Day, Trunk or Treat, Advent Retreat at Lutherhill, Child-led Las Posadas children program, Child-focused & Adult-friendly Christmas Eve Worship, Carnival Brunch, Easter Celebrations, Spring Retreat at Lutherhill, Pentecost Picnic, Day Camp at Christ the King, week-long summer camp at Lutherhill in La Grange, and yearly Milestones.

Our volunteers follow Safe Haven guidelines, and policies of our volunteers and staff to protect children and youth from abuse. For more information, please contact Deacon Ben Remmert.
