Meals Team provides occasional meals to a member in need, a family after the birth of a child, or helps organize food on the occasion of a death or memorial service.
Transportation provides occasional transportation for a doctor’s appointment, worship, or an emergency.
Visiting/Phoning provides support to members who need a listening ear or a compassionate presence.
Prayer notes are written to members expressing support during times of need and to acknowledge life events.
Prayer Shawl Ministry meets weekly as a group on Friday mornings to knit shawls for members and friends. Individuals are also invited to knit at home.
Morning Prayer Group receives the daily/weekly prayer list to intercede on behalf of members, friends, and other needs during the course of a week. Members may choose to pray at their convenience.
Piecemakers meet every Thursday morning to make quilts and other items for the annual Christ the King Festival auction.
Community of Hope trains and equips Lay Chaplains to serve in pastoral care ministries within the congregation and within the broader community. This spiritual formation program is anchored in the timeless principles of Benedictine spirituality and helps participants awaken to God’s call on their lives through experiential discovery and a journey into wholeness.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers take Communion from the Lord’s table to members unable to attend worship. The Community of Hope training prepares LEMs for this ministry of sacred presence.
Food Ministry Team provides meals for special events, congregational activities, and other special occasions.
Walking the Mourner’s Path is an 8-week grief support program. The program is usually offered once a year but may be offered more often if there is interest.
