Beloved Christ the King Community,  Alleluia!  Christ is Risen!

Have you started to notice the risen Christ in others and the world around you?  Where has Jesus been found by you today.....maybe through a kind encounter with a stranger;  maybe in the wounds revealed in the sign held by a person standing at a stoplight;  maybe shown through the cheerful spirit of your partner, child, friend, or pet that greeted you at the end of a long day;  maybe felt as the sun shined down warming your skin, squinting your eyes?  The risen Christ is surely present every day in each of our lives and daily experiences.

And I am also curious how you are making Jesus known to those around you this week.....maybe you are the one offering a cheerful spirit to someone who is having a hard time;  maybe you are taking extra time or extra effort with someone;  maybe you are stopping to pick up a piece of trash left along the sidewalk;  maybe you are offering a helping hand to someone in need....the possibilities are really endless, and at the same time worth pondering.

We are in the middle of the season of Easter, firmly into Texas springtime, and it is time for some Spring Clean Up at our two campuses on Saturday, April 20th from 9am to noon.  Your hands and hearts are needed in many ways.  Please contact Deacon Aimee or Deacon Ben, if you have not already, so that they know who is coming and how many projects can be completed.  Get your gloves, buckets, cleaning supplies and hands ready for the day.  I can't wait to see you there!

And if this is not an event you can attend or help at, please put your hands together to pray for the group gathered.....that they may reveal Jesus to each other in cleaning, in conversation, in kind words shared, in an embrace.  And know that in your prayer, you are an essential part of the body of Christ making God's love known through prayer for your spiritual family.

Christ is Risen indeed!  Alleluia!!

Grace and peace and even more hope,

Pastor Jennifer
