The Intercultural Encounters Program of CEDEPCA is pleased to announce the next Virtual Journey to Guatemala, “Let’s Talk about Mission!”  What is God’s mission? How does God involve us? What are best practices for embodying and bearing witness to the love of Christ, especially in intercultural spaces?

At this one-and-a-quarter-hour Zoom meeting, Journey participants will listen in as Guatemalan Pastor Emerson Morales and U.S. Pastor Jennifer Hope-Tringali share with each other their wisdom and wonderings about mission.

As on any good journey, there will be time for interaction and reflection so that each person “goes home” with a renewed sense of how God is calling and sending them.

Pastor Emerson Morales is the former Coordinator for CEDEPCA’s Intercultural Encounters Program, current CEDEPCA Board Member, and Senior Pastor of “Jesús es el Camino” Pentecostal Church in Guatemala.

Pastor Jennifer Hope-Tringali is founder of Hope Academy, a bilingual STEAM school for girls in Santa Lucia Milpas Altas, Guatemala, and Senior Pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas.

Both pastors bring a love for Guatemala and wealth of experience wrestling with interculturality, colonialism, and faith.
