Dear faithful people of Christ the King Lutheran Church,
Work by Juarez Painting on the major exterior painting, caulking, and repair of the exterior of our Rice Village buildings continues with no weather-related interruptions. The south side of our building, facing our off-Greenbriar parking lot, the east side facing Greenbriar, and the west side facing the Chaucer building, have all been caulked and have received two coats of paint.
Work on the sections of our building facing the courtyard has begun, but much of this can only be done on Saturdays when no one is using the courtyard. Weathering permitting, the contractor expects it will take three more Saturdays to complete this work.
At this writing, we are still waiting for word about the fabrication and installation of new metal framed doors between the narthex and Memorial Garden.
All of us on the Property Maintenance Committee have recommended, and the council has approved, these projects, but Gaelyn Lesher is providing major oversight of this project.
Please continue pray with us that this work will be pleasing to God and will strengthen our congregation’s ministry and mission in the name of Jesus.
In Christ,
