Dear Members of Christ the King,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

After a season of prayerful discernment, I am writing to formally resign from my role as Director of Congregational Engagement at Christ the King Lutheran Church. My last Sunday in church will be August 3, 2025. This decision has not been easy, as serving this congregation has been a deeply meaningful and sacred part of my ministry.

Pastoral care has been one of the foundational responsibilities of my call, and it has been a profound privilege to accompany members of this community through seasons of joy, grief, healing, and growth. I am deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the many ways we have shared in Christ’s love and service together.

I give thanks for the relationships formed, the ministries nurtured, and the Spirit-led work we have accomplished as a congregation. I remain confident that God will continue to guide and bless the mission and ministry of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Although I am stepping away from this role, I will continue to reside in the Houston area and will carry the memories and lessons of this community with me. Please know that I am committed to supporting a smooth and faithful transition and am available to assist in any way that may be helpful during this time.

Thank you for the honor of serving among you. May God’s peace and grace continue to abound in your life and ministry.

In Christ’s service,
Deacon Aimee Elles
