Blessed New Year, Christ the King Community!

Though we began our new liturgical year in 2023 with the season of Advent, many of us have begun to think about our new chronological year, 2024.  You and I might be pondering New Year's Resolutions, visioning goals for the year professionally and personally, and maybe even planning summer vacations.

Our New Year at Christ the King is filled with New Beginnings that I am excited to share with you:

  • New Weekly Pastor's Desk Blog: I will be sharing reflections and highlights weekly in 2024.  This month, reflections will be on "New Beginnings."
  • New Communications Schedule: We will be sending out our "What's Happening at CTK: Events of the Week" communication on Mondays beginning next week to encourage weekly planning and participation in the life of our community.  A second communication will be sent each Friday that includes all worship details for the coming weekend.  These communications will be brief, so we encourage you to always check our CTK Events  page for a complete and thorough listing.
  • New Children's Message Opportunity: Our 8:30am worship service has an exciting new addition that we are calling a "Children's Message," designed to encourage the welcome and inclusion our youngest members and visitors.

As 2024 begins, I encourage us to embody our mission statement: Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church is a welcoming and inclusive community nourished by Christ in vibrant worship and committed to God’s mission of love and service, especially to the oppressed and needy.

Nourished abundantly by Christ, may we welcome, love, and serve abundantly in 2024, as we grow in faith together.

Grace and peace and even more hope to you all this New Year!
Pastor Jennifer
