Dear faithful People of Christ the King Lutheran Church:


This is the week that everyone who has rested at Christ the King Lutheran Church returns to joy-filled service; the summer hiatus is over. This week, our congregation council meets, our Wednesday and Friday Bible studies resume, Wednesday choir rehearsals begin, our call committee get organized, all preparing for RALLY DAY next Sunday. Be sure to pick up two important documents at each liturgy (Saturday evening at 6:00, Sunday morning at 8:30 and 11:00) this weekend.

  • An updated pictorial Congregation Directory to help us recognize one another, our leaders and our staff;
  • Our new Seasonal Guide (September 13 – November 22) to help all of us know and get involved with the worship, faith formation, events, and meetings of our congregation.

These days mark a new beginning for this congregation! I invite you to get involved for the joy that is set before us.

PARKING: Both of our parking lots are open and available.

Also, during Rice University’s current construction, we can access the Rice parking lots by entering through entrance 13a from Greenbriar and parking as close to the construction fence as you are able.

 

 

STEWARDSHIP 2027

During the week of September 13, we will all receive Time, Talent, and Treasure pledge forms. Please return your pledge no later than October 25, 2026, Reformation Day.
