Dear faithful People of Christ the King Lutheran Church:
Tomorrow, June 30, marks the halfway point of our congregation’s 2026 fiscal year. This is a good time to reflect on how we offer “ourselves, our time, and our possessions” in response to God’s gifts. Even in summer, when many of us are away or focused elsewhere, I invite you to consider how God has blessed you—and how you might serve those who are homeless, hungry, fearful, or in need. I also ask you to consider how you can support our worship life, our congregation, and the financial needs of our mission partners. Are you able to serve or give more generously?
In less than five months, we will celebrate Christ the King Sunday and close the current liturgical year. On that day, we will hear the King say, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did it to me.”
At this midpoint in the year, let us each consider how we are called to respond.
Peace and Joy – and Courage!
Mandy
