Dear faithful People of Christ the King Lutheran Church,
For many of us, these next few days conclude our summer hiatus and simultaneously we begin the busy-ness of the season ahead. Here are some ways that’s happening at Christ the King Lutheran Church. The first one will be a game-changer for members who are frequently on our Rice Village campus:
Assuming approval by the Congregation Council tomorrow night, we will be replacing our failing “fob” security system with a new system, under the direction of our Property Management Supervisor, Michael Sheffield. The new system, which will be self-contained and therefore cannot be hacked for private information, will include facial recognition, Apple Wallet and other ways for members who wish easier access during weekdays to enter the building. Watch for news on this!
Our first-floor restrooms were refreshed and repainted last week.
The HVAC air handler on the second floor will be replaced this week or early next week, and we will be able to use the Youth Room again.
Next Monday’s Grace Notes will be Secretary Daniel Zorn’s Congregation Council Meeting Report.
Peace and Joy – and Courage!
