Dear Faithful People of Christ the King Church:
NEXT SUNDAY, March 8, 2026, is COMMITMENT SUNDAY for our 2026 Generosity (Stewardship) Appeal. I write to urge you to send in or bring in your pledge card for the remainder of this year. Your 2026 pledge, made and fulfilled, will enable our congregation to move forward toward the calling of a new senior pastor and the development of our mission and ministry at both our campuses.
As I write this, we are within days of engaging another part-time interim pastor to assure that those unable to come to worship receive full pastoral care. Your 2026 pledge, made and kept, will enable us to do this.
Likewise, we are within a few weeks of identifying and engaging a long-needed Property Maintenance Supervisor to enable us to take better care of our properties and facilities and relieve Cheryl Gaspard, Gaelyn Lesher, me – and our next pastor - of that responsibility. Your 2026 pledge, made and kept, will enable us to do this.
While that is this congregation’s need, there is one other: Your need and mine to respond faithfully to all that God has done for us, our families, those we love beyond our families, and those we regularly pray for whose needs can be met by our generous giving.
Excellent stewardship has always been a hallmark of Christ the King Lutheran Church! I pray that will continue in this pivotal year!
Peace and Joy, -- and Courage!
Mandy
