The Congregation Council met on May 12, 2026.

President Martina Longoria chaired the meeting which included:

Affirming into the membership of Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church new confirmands: Christopher Bruns; Cecilia Bruns; Elizabeth Mallon; Charlotte Turner; August Triantaphyllis; and Joseph Verret; and  

Affirming the grant decisions made by the Board of Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church New Foundation; and

Affirming that Christ the King Evangelical Lutheran Church will observe the ecumenical Feast of Creation at all liturgies of the weekend of August 29-30, 2026.

The council sees a great need for enhancing faith formation programming and is committed to responding to this need in the coming year. If you are interested in this subject or have ideas, please contact Irmi Willcockson.

The council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, May 26, to discuss the formation of a Call Committee for Senior Pastor.

The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Congregation Council is Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.
