Dear faithful People of Christ the King Lutheran Church:
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Last Monday I wrote that Deacon Ben Remmert, Cantor Ben Kerswell and I were at a liturgical conference at Valparaiso University in Indiana and had two goals. The first was to learn about the ecumenically proposed Feast (and season) of Creation about which we will be making recommendations to our Worship and Music Committee; and the second to begin networking with other liturgically minded folks as we prepare to search for our next pastor. On that matter, we want you to know that.
1. Christ the King Lutheran Church is well-known and highly admired. We saw no impediments to our ability to call a new pastor. What happened here last year at this time has not dimmed our reputation.
2. There are a number of active and seasoned liturgical leaders who have promised to provide us and enable us to be in touch with potential candidates to serve in this place.
We will provide a more extensive report to the council and congregation at a later date.
Alleluia! Christ is risen!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!
Mandy
