Dear Beloved Christ the King Community,

This week I am writing with a special invitation for you to share time together with our friends from the Turkish Muslim Community at Christ the King, Rice Village Campus, on Wednesday evening, May 14th.

This opportunity springs forth after an invitation to an Iftar dinner during Ramadan at the Raindrop Center where a group of us shared a meal together and then were invited to be present to experience evening prayer.  We are delighted to spend more time together soon, this time in our spiritual home, where we will share a meal and a few examples of Lutheran expression of prayer through changing and song.

As an ELCA congregation, we engage in inter-religious commitment with a spirit of mutuality and relationality.  Please read more about our Lutheran convictions that influence our calling to inter-religious dialogue and community action here: (the link is below)

Please consider coming and building or deepening these relationships.  If you are able to help set up, provide food, or clean up please contact Kim Williams (kimwilliams@ctkelc.org).  See you there!

Grace and peace, and even more hope!
Pastor Jennifer
