Worship is central to life at Christ the King Lutheran Church.  For an introduction to the theology of worship and its practice here, please read the pages written by Pastor Peterman on the Trinitarian Formula, the Furniture of Worship and the Posture of Worship.

Christ the King Lutheran Church has many different worship options:

Morning Prayer

Each weekday morning at 8:15 am, a small group of people gathers in the narthex for a short service of readings and prayers.  Prayers are offered for members, family and friends in need. This informal service is led by volunteers. All are invited.

Taizé Worship

Saturday evenings at 6:00 p.m., a meditative worship service in the tradition of the Taize community is offered.  Simple, repetitive songs taken from the Taize community replace traditional hyms, and silence after the pastor's meditation allows worshipers to spend time in prayer.

Sunday Morning Eucharist at 8:30

At 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning, people gather for worship in the nave. The liturgy for the service is chosen from various musical settings. The organ accompanies the hymns. The chorus, at times accompanied by instrumentalists, presents a wide range of music, from classical to contemporary to folk to ethnic.

Sunday Morning Eucharist at 10:50

The worship service at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday mornings uses settings from the Lutheran Book of Worship. The church choir, at times accompanied by an ensemble, offers classical selections.
