Pastor Art Preisinger will continue a discussion from the October 18 forum on Christian Zionism together with a look at some of its proponents. The majority of Christian Zionist leaders are pastors of mega churches with daily or weekly televison programs, including Ron Parsley of Columbus, Ohio, and John Hagee of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio.
The Church Council will be leading a Council Forum to address issues facing the congregation and discuss questions or concerns from members. The Council Forum is presented as a quarterly opportunity for communication exchange.
All adults and youth are invited to Sunday Forum on November 15 to learn about our companion synod relationship with Iglesia Luterana Evangelica Peruana – ILEP. Tim Lenz and Sheri Alsguth (from Advent Lutheran Church) will lead a presentation on our synod’s relationship with ILEP along with sharing experiences on past and upcoming trips to Peru.
ILEP is a member of the Lutheran World Federation and has approximately 1,100 members. It is comprised of over a dozen congregations and several mission starts or “faith communities,” as they are called in Peru.
