Global Mission Festival

All 6th - 12th grade students are invited to attend the Global Mission Festival on October 4 from 2-6:30 p.m. at Living Word Lutheran Church in Katy. The festival offers an arts and crafts sale featuring fair trade items from around the world, musical entertainment, ethnic foods, game, and petting zoo. Guest speaker is Leonard Sweet, author, preacher, scholar and ordained United Methodist clergyman. In both 2006 and 2007, Sweet was voted “One of the 50 Most Influential Christian Leaders in America.”.

Lock-in

All 6th - 12th grade students are invited to the Luther League Halloween lock-in on October 30 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. in the church basement. All attending should dress up in costume and bring a dish or beverage to share. The evening will include Rockband, games, contests, prizes, and movies. Please contact Tim Lenz for more information.

Junior High Retreat

All 6th-8th grade students are invited to Lutherhill October 9-11 for a weekend full of fun, fellowship, worship, and some good ole’ Lutheran teachings! The all inclusive fee of $45 a person will cover housing, meals, transportation, sponsor fees, and all material costs for the weekend – which includes the ropes course, swimming, campfires, and much more! This trip does have limited space so sign up early to reserve your spot! Please email or call Tim Lenz for more information.

Sunday Night Meals Needed!

Families and members who enjoy supporting the Luther League are needed to help with meals for the youth on Sunday nights. Nights still needed are October 18, November 22, and December 6. Meals can range from anything home-cooked to store bought or catered. Enough food to serve 15-20 people should be provided. Please contact Tim Lenz for more information or to sign up.
