“Fashion Cents” will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 11-1:00 p.m. at the Sunshine Resale Shop, 5407 Bellaire Blvd., 713-665-4000. Fashion savvy volunteers will be putting together outfits that fit your lifestyle.
Since 1988, the Christian Community Service Center (CCSC) has operated the Sunshine Resale Shop in Bellaire. The shop serves as the central location where all donations are sorted and then sent to the Emergency Services, JobNet or Back To School programs for distribution. Remaining clothing and other items are sold at the Sunshine Resale Shop at a fraction of full retail cost, thus providing a service to community residents, particularly those residents who live on a fixed or limited income.
The funds raised from the sale of donated merchandise support the programs of CCSC. Generous community members donate gently used items, such as clothing, furniture, jewelry, lamps, rugs, household items and collectibles. Donors receive a tax receipt and the pleasure that comes from knowing that those in need are receiving assistance.
