How many U.S. Lutherans did it take to drink enough coffee to help Lutheran World Relief break the record for the World’s Largest Fair Trade Coffee Break? Some 5,000.That’s the total who filled their cups at 72 events to celebrate World Fair Trade Day May 9, part of the 64,600 people who put the U.S. over the 2008 record held by Finland. Christ the King Church participated in this event. The contest is won but the LWR Fair Trade Coffee Project continues, ensuring that more of the money you spend on coffee reaches the farmers who grow it.
