On Sunday, May 17, First Evangelical Lutheran Church will honor Pastor Edwin D. Peterman on the fiftieth anniversary of his ordination into the Lutheran ministry.
At 5:00 p.m. there will be a seated dinner and program in the courtyard. Live musical entertainment will be provided. Following dinner, a special program will be held in tribute to Pastor Peterman.
In 1968 he accepted a call to Christ the King Lutheran Church in Houston, where he was Senior Pastor until his retirement at the end of 1998. In December, 2006 he accepted the invitation to be Interim Pastor of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he presently serves. Members of Christ the King Lutheran Church and friends of Pastor Peterman are invited to attend the dinner celebration on May 17. Please notify the First Evangelical Lutheran Church office by May 3, if possible. Late reservations will be accepted until May 10.
