Update from the Nursery Guild

Annual Meeting February 8

In November Carmen Romero joined the nursery staff at Christ the King Church and has already helped through a busy holiday season with many gathering times outside the Sunday services. If you haven’t yet met Carmen, stop by the nursery and say hello. Long overdue, new rocking chairs arrived just in time for Christmas. Of course we couldn’t have made it through the year without Ayde Callejas, Nichole Wilson, Andrea Salas and our volunteers. Nichole and Andrea filled in as nursery staff throughout the fall and Andrea still provides us support on Wednesday nights. This is an important service to our families and we couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to you all!

In the coming weeks we will see the completion and kick off of a number of nursery projects. The children’s library furnishing, which was funded in part by proceeds from the tag sale, is nearly complete. In the nursery we will be planning to update the bulletin boards and cubbie name tags as well as communication pieces on the nursery and children’s services. Finally, mark your calendars for the annual Nursery Guild meeting on February 8 after the late service. The annual meeting is a chance for us to discuss some of the key issues related to children and worship and get more involved with the services we provide to our youngest members. The nursery guild has a number of small projects just waiting for volunteers (please contact Jayme Zage).
