I am looking for servants to assist Bette Bowers and Jerry and Jan Bouquot with the Monday Free Hot Lunch service provided on the University of Houston campus in the A.D. Bruce Religion Center. The Houston Lutheran Campus Ministry has volunteered to cover six Mondays throughout the year.
Here are the details:
The lunch is prepared for up to 200 students.
A vegetarian option is included.
We have no oven, but heating pans can be provided. We serve from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
St. Francis of Assisi is often quoted as saying, “Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” Here’s an opportunity for you and a group of your friends to preach the Gospel by using serving utensils and a kind presence instead of words.
