On August 9, a group of Christ the King Church members spent the morning looking at emergency preparedness. The discussion will continue on Tuesday evening, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the council room. The focus will be to come up with a fire evacuation plan by addressing these issues:
1. What is the safest way to evacuate the property in the event of a fire in the nave on Sunday morning?
2. How do we safely evacuate the nursery and Sunday school classrooms?
3. Does everyone know where the fire extinguishers are and how to operate them?
4. Where should people go after evacuation of the buildings?
5. Do the ushers, teachers, nursery attendants and church staff have adequate fire safety training?
