Lutheran Day at the Ballpark

We are pleased to report that Christ the King Lutheran Church collected the highest amount of funds for Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest through its June Mission Offering among all Lutheran churches who participated in this fund-raising effort. Christ the King Church purchased a total of 36 tickets for the game and raised $1,609. The amount raised gave Tim Lenz, Director of Youth and Family Ministries, Pr. Brad Fuerst, and Adrienne Winston the privilege of receiving the oversized check on the field prior to the game from the Houston Astros on behalf of Lutheran Social Services on Sunday, July 20, at Minute Maid Park.
