Paper Recycling On-Site at Christ the King Lutheran Church

logoChrist the King Church members have an ever increasing awareness of the need to protect our environment and to recycle as much as possible. A group of people led by Don Rice has been instrumental in seeing that our office and bulletin paper is taken to a recycling center once a week. Due to their efforts we have seen a need for a container on site. A free of charge 6 x 6.7 cu. yard recycling container will be delivered to the church parking lot by June 1. The church will be reimbursed per ton of paper picked up. The community is invited to participate in our collection. We need to collect at least 1.5 tons per month.

Accepted items are:
newspaper, magazines, shopping catalogs, junk mail, office & school papers, envelopes with and without windows, and phone books. Paper clips and staples do not have to be removed.

Items not accepted are:
cardboard, cereal/soda cartons, food wrap/containers, tissue products, metal, trash, cans, plastics and glass.
