Meeting New Friends
When you see a new or unfamiliar face at church, there is an introduction that opens the door to people, “Hi, my name is (and give your name)” Then wait for them to tell you their name. If they don’t respond immediately say, “And your name is?” Focus in on that name to be certain you capture it. Repeat it. Use it several times in your conversation with them. After you part, write it down. Then review your note several times the following week. Use this precedure and you will open the door to many new friendships of people who will enjoy being in your presence.
