At Part I of the congregational meeting the congregation elected three church council representatives: Jay Beckman, Walter Murphy, and Cindi Scruggs.The new Council met in December and elected officers. They are: President, Russell Post; Vice President, Jill Bailer; Member-at-Large (for representation on the Executive Committee), David Hollrah; Treasurer, Kleta Gerhart; Assistant Treasurer, Weldon Kuretsch; Financial Secretary, David Hollrah; and Recording Secretary, Anne Hutson Walker.
On Friday and Saturday, January 11 and 12, the council will hold its annual retreat at Camp Allen in Navasota. Though the workshop is planned expressly for Council members, it is open to all church members at their own expense. If you are interested in participating, please contact Pr. Moore at the church office by noon on January 4.
