Did you know that autumn is historically the busiest time of year at the Christian Community Service Center’s Emergency Services Center? Many factors bring increased numbers of persons in crisis to our doors, including high electricity bills resulting from the summer swelter, and increased costs related to starting a new academic year. October is the month that averages the highest number of persons served – sometimes exceeding 2,100 clients!
Christ the King Lutheran Church contributes money and food donations to support this program. You may contribute non-perishable food items to help the hungry. Look for the food basket in the narthex on Sundays.
