Houston Lutheran Campus Ministry Retreat – Friday, October 12 through Sunday October 14.
Who is going? Students from Rice and the University of Houston.
What is this? “This” is a retreat from campus life to relax, to build relationships, to study the Bible, and to learn about ministering to others on a college campus.
Where will this retreat happen? Boerne, TX, at a nice, spacious home located in the Hill Country. The house is located in a peaceful place, complete with a swimming pool a block away, a jacuzzi in the back yard, and a place to sit by a fire at night and look at the stars. The community has hiking trails as well.
How much will it cost? You should plan for three meals to pay on your own: Friday on our way out to Boerne, Saturday night, and Sunday Lunch.
When will we leave? We will leave at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, or whenever everyone is out of classes. Please notify Pr. Brad if you are unable to leave at 5:00 P.M. on Friday
When will we come back? We will leave by noon on Sunday, putting us back in Houston around 4:00 P.M.
How will I get there? We will carpool. If there is enough interest, we will rent a van.
Why should I go? You’ve been studying hard. Campus life can get a little hectic. Bonding with fellow Christians and experiencing community helps college students live out their baptismal call. God may be calling you to “Be Still.” This retreat will offer that opportunity.
