What would you get if you combined Eminem’s rap style with Dr. Martin Luther King’s message? You’d have Agape (real name is David Scherer). Combining rapping, dancing, and storytelling, this dynamic Minneapolis rapper performs over a hundred times a year and has been a featured performer at the ELCA youth gathering.
Purpose: to support congregational confirmation ministry, strengthen Christian and Lutheran identity and to create an environment that allows Jr. High students to become comfortable with themselves and with each other . Youth will get the opportunity to engage in small groups, worship, hear live music and speaker Agape, participate in servant life, and fellowship time which includes free time activities, a dance and lots of time to meet new people!
