Flu Season Is Here

It is the time of year that colds, flu and other illnesses are more prevalent. Covering coughs and sneezes and frequent hand washing serve as a good defense and also protect others. However, fast-paced and demanding lifestyles can influence the decision to stay home from work, school or other commitments when illness strikes.

Please consider staying at home and taking care of yourself if you experience:

· Fever
· Frequent coughing and/or sneez ing
· Vomiting and/or diarrhea within the previous 24 hour period
This is particularly true when it comes to our children spending time in the nursery. The nursery well-baby            policy serves to protect not only our children, but also those who care for them. These guidelines should            also influence the decision to keep children home from Sunday School and church activities.

Children should remain home when you observe any of the following symptoms:

· Fever – defined as a temperature over 100 degrees, regardless of the cause
· Vomiting and/or diarrhea within the previous 24 hours ·
· Discharge in or around the eyes · Green or yellow runny nose
· Excessive coughing (dry, hack ing or wet coughs) · · · Sore throat
· Questionable rash
· Any skin infection
· Pink eye and other eye infections · Head lice
· Any symptoms of childhood dis eases (scarlet fever, measles, mumps, chicken pox or whoop ing cough)

Thanks for helping to make our church home as healthy as possible!
