Dr. Allan Sager Theologian in Residence October, 2007

Born in Boerne to a clergy family, Dr. Sager is a graduate of Texas Lutheran University. He also served on the Board of Regions of the University for many years. He earned his Master of Divinity at Wartburg Theological Seminary, doing an internship with the Youth Department. He earned his Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Communications from Northwestern University.
He served as pastor at Trinity Lutheran in Fort Worth for nine years, before moving to Columbus, Ohio where he served on faculty at Trinity Lutheran Seminary for 30 years until his retirement.

Dr. Sager has taught in a wide variety of contexts on such topics as systems thinking, coaching methods, Lutheran spirituality, journaling, and transformational leadership.
