Spirituality and Gender:
How Gender Influences our Relationship with God, the Church, and Other People
The Rev. Dr. Bradley Hanson will teach this course on Thursdays from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the council room from February 22 – March 29. This course will help us better understand our relationships with one another and with God. There will also be some times for meditative reflection.
Cost: $25/person plus purchase of two books: Woman at the Well by Kathleen Fischer and The Intimate Connection by James B. Nelson. Books are available for $15.00 each ($30/set) and are available from the book cart in the narthex. Childcare is available upon request.
While it’s not necessary to do the suggested readings for Dr. Hanson’s course, those who would like to read should begin with the first chapter in The Intimate Connection by James B. Nelson.
Dr. Hanson is Professor Emeritus of Religion, Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. He is also Director of Grace Institute. Dr. Hanson is the theologian-in-residence for The Melanchthon Institute.
