Sunday Forum meets Sundays at 9:45 a.m. in the basement classroom.
In January the Sunday Forum will have four different presenters.
On January 7 we welcome Richard Hofman to Christ the King. His presentation is titled “It Works if You Work It! A Spiritually-Based Stress Management System.” Richard Hofman is a certified clinical addictions specialist who works on alcohol and other drug abuses.
On January 14 our presenter is Dr. Robert N. Weinberger, a clinical psychologist working with Weinberger, Black & Associates, which offers mental health, substance abuse and educational services. Dr. Weinberger will speak to us on “Risky Teen Behavior” What’s a Parent To Do.”
On January 21 the speaker at the Sunday Forum will be Dr. Ralph Quere, professor emeritus of history and theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa, where he has taught since 1969. His talk is titled “Luther’s Theology of the Cross: Jesus’ Suffering and Ours.”
On January 28, Professor Vitor Westhelle of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago will speak on his book The Scandalous God: The Use and Abuse of the Cross.
