Simple Giving

To encourage members of the congregation to make regular contributions to the Christ the King Lutheran Church ministry, the church participates in the Simply Giving program sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

Simply Giving is an automated giving program designed to help you conveniently and consistently contribute to Christ the King Church and other Lutheran institutions. Through Simply Giving, your gifts are made through a pre-authorized withdrawal from your bank account. You determine the frequency of your automatic gift - weekly, semi-monthly or monthly. Your contribution is deposited into the church’s bank account on the same day it is withdrawn from your account.

There is no cost to the member of the congregation or Christ the King Church because all expenses are paid by Thrivent as part of its support for Lutheran churches and institutions.

Simply Giving helps members of the congregation by providing a convenient means of regular giving. It helps the church by providing steady, more predictable revenues throughout the year, more efficient bookkeeping and greater confidence in meeting its financial commitments.

Members of Christ the King Church gave $1.15 million to support the operating budget, the building budget and the Bridge to the Future debt service and debt reduction fund. However, about 25 percent of the total was received by the church in December.

The church needs a more evenly distributed flow of revenue to meet its monthly obligations and to make sure funds are available for unexpected expenses, such as repairs.

For more information about Simply Giving, or to obtain an enrollment form, please go by the display table in the narthex, contact the church office or visit Thrivent’s Web site. Please return completed enrollment forms to the church office.
