In 1990 in war-torn Sudan, seven-yearold Rose was playing with her friends when gunshots erupted, villagers ran for their lives, Rose became separated from he parents and siblings. She found her grandmother and together, over the next two years and several hundred kilometers, they made their way to the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya, where Rose was enrolled in the LWF school.
