“The Prayers of Hildegard”
A ‘pre-premiere hearing’ with
light commentary of “The Prayers of Hildegard” for soprano, flute
and piano will be given in the parish hall on Tuesday, June 7 at 7 p.m.
The work is a setting of three prayers of Hildegard von Bingen. Commissioned
by the Texas Music Teachers Association from Ann Gebuhr, it will
be premiered at the TMTA State Convention in San Antonio on June 12. The
performers are Dalma Boronkai, soprano; Teresa Grawunder, flute; and John Gibson,
piano.
