Congratulations Graduates

High School

Anna Graml graduated from Lutheran High North in May and is on the Honor Roll. She is planning to attend Louisiana State University (LSU) this fall and pursue a B.S. in Kinesiology. LSU is her father’s alma mater. Anna is the daughter of Charles and Nancy Graml.

Dustin Irvin graduated from Pearland High School: Dustan is an honor roll student, an All-American Scholar Award Winner, and was recognized in the Who’s Who Among American High School Students - 2005.

He will attend San Jacinto College in the fall and then transfer to the University of Houston to major in Graphic Design.
His hobbies include playing the guitar and sketching.

Jacquelyn McAnelly actually graduated last year— a year early from Lamar High School. She has just completed her first year in the college of business at University of Houston and is on the dean’s list.

Erika Peters is graduating from Lutheran High North.

College

Garrett Troff graduated with honors on March 25 from WyoTech Technical Institute in Laramie, WY, with an Associate Degree in Specialized Technology in Automotive Technology and Management.

Garrett is now back in Houston and working at Advantage BMW in Midtown as an automotive technician. He will enter the Corporate Step Training program in October to receive his BMW Specialist certification, a six month program.

Eli Bakalyar graduated from Rice this year with a Master of Music in violin performance. In June, after breathing a sigh of relief following a fundraising recital at Christ the King Church, she will be heading to San Jose, Costa Rica to start up an after-school arts program for Nicaraguan immigrants in a Lutheran church there. She plans to stay in Costa Rica at least 14 months, after which she plans to attend seminary, probably at Lutheran School of Theology Chicago.

Brandon Bouldin will graduate from University of California, Los Angeles on June 18 with a BA in Graphic Arts. He has specialized in 3D animation and thinks he would like to apply that to website design, game development or movie animation. His parents see little hope that he will return to Texas after he graduates!

Adrienne Winston graduated cum laude from St. Thomas University with a BA in Philosophy and will be applying to medical school.

Travis Harper graduated from Austin College in Sherman with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and French. Travis will be in Houston for the foreseeable future working as a marketing assistant for a local photographer, Karen Sachar.

CW Mallon
received his MBA from Rice University. He also received an Academic award.

Alyce Shields graduated from Fordham University May 21 with a major in sociology and a minor in business. She also received a Peace and Justice Certificate. In September she will attend the Culinary Institute of America in Napa, California to study pastry and baking.
Her one minute of fame in her four years in New York City came after she wrote a vignette on life in Manhattan which was published in the New York Times and is now posted in every subway car in NYC as part of an ad for the New York Times.
