Two additional bells are being donated to the congregation in honor of the 60th Anniversary. After installation, the new bells will be the largest and smallest of our bells after they are installed. We currently have three bells tuned to A, C#, and E. The new bells will be a lower F# at 1700 pounds and a higher F# at 220 pounds. The order for the bells was made with the Verdin Company of Cincinnati, Ohio, the same company which supplied and installed the original bells. The Dutch firm, Petit and Fritsen, will cast the bells in the Netherlands. Each bell will come with an inscription:
To the bath and the table, to the prayers and the word, I call every seeking soul. (large bell)
Peace on earth, good will to men. (small bell)
The new bells will be rung officially on Christ the King Sunday on November 20, 2005 in celebration of the congregation’s 60th year.
