National Volunteer Week is April 17-23, 2005. The ministry staff of Christ the King Lutheran Church is deeply grateful for the many ways our congregation’s members are involved in the life of the church, both locally and globally. We are blessed with a diverse membership who has many gifts and talents. As Romans 12:4-8 says:
"Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. It a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully.”.
If you haven’t found your niche yet at Christ the King Lutheran Church, please let us assist you. For more information on how you can get more involved either within the congregation or within the community, please contact Beverly Davis or 713-523-2864, ext. 27.
