Builder of Our Church Ship Dies

Mr. Erik Pedersen of Copenhagen, Denmark died on March 1at the age of 77 after entering the hospital for treatment for lung cancer. Mr. Pedersen was the builder of the church ship suspended in the nave of Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mr. Pedersen was retired from the merchant marine. He had actually called on the Port of Houston early in his career. Mr. Pedersen was delighted to visit Houston again in 2002 when Pastor Kirsten Drigsdahl accompanied him on a trip to see his ship in the nave.
