Brad Hanson, Theologian-in-Residence, will offer a six week course on Thursday evenings in Lent based on his most recent book. Grace that Frees is a comprehensive, clearly written book about the Lutheran understanding of basic Christian faith and spiritual practices of prayer, worship, study of scripture, use of sacraments and physical symbols in context of Christian community. This is a wonderful opportunity for Lutherans to understand the foundation on which our faith is built. This course plus a short orientation will serve as a new member class for those wanting to join the congregation. The course and a short orientation will qualify participants for membership at Christ the King Lutheran Church.
