Serving as the summer youth intern for Christ the King Lutheran Church these three months has been remarkable. This summer has taught me many valuable lessons that I will take away with me and use in the ministry as well as in life. This internship has given me insight into how youth ministry and the broader ministries of the church work simultaneously. Not only the work in youth and family, but leading in worship has helped me grow in my faith as I experienced worship from the leaders’ side. The time of devotion and prayer with the youth also enriched my leadership skills. I want to take this time to thank the congregation and staff for all their gracious support and kindness that they have bestowed on me throughout my time at Christ the King Church. I am grateful to Brannon Lloyd, Lucky Sahualla, Christopher Wood, and Cindi Scruggs for all the extra hours they have devoted to developing a strong and lasting youth ministry program. Of course, I would like to thank all the parents and youth for all their support and devotion this summer. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the ministry and church family at Christ the King Lutheran Church. Good Luck and best wishes with your continuing ministry.
