Summer Youth Intern

Hi,

My name is Tim Lenz. I am a student at Texas Lutheran University, currently wrapping up my sophomore year. I am a youth ministry major and plan on going to seminary after graduation to further advance my degree and knowledge in the field.

I was born in Baytown, Texas, the first of three boys. Cody is seventeen and graduating from Crosby High School and Joey is thirteen and in the eighth grade. My mother is the director of Youth and Family Ministries at Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Conroe, and my father is a Construction/crane operator for Shell.

I was brought up and baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and have been a member ever since. My family attended Atascocita Lutheran Church for a decade until we moved to Willis, Texas in 2000. I am now currently a member at Tree of Life Lutheran Church in Conroe, but attend chapel services at the Chapel of Abiding Presence located on the TLU campus. I was always active with my youth group throughout high school and have attended two National Youth Gatherings; 2000 and 2003. First I was a youth attendee and then as a volunteer.

In high school I was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the National Honor Society. I was also on the football and golf team. I love all types of music, floating down the Comal River, traveling, playing and watching baseball (Astros!), and playing sports of any kind for that matter.

Thank ya’ll so much for this opportunity; I’m excited about interning at Christ the King Church and looking forward to a great summer!

Tim
