Are you curious about yoga? Would you like to learn of some of the benefits yoga offers, such as breathing for relaxation, flexibility and balance?
Yoga means ‘joined together’, and a yogi is a person who focuses on unifying body, mind, emotions and spirit so that they work well together. An introduction to basic yoga is the topic at the Congregational Care team meeting on Friday, June 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the parish hall. We have the expertise of our two parishioners, Anne Hutson and Alice Oeben, who will introduce basic stretching poses that can be modified for any fitness level.
Plan to wear comfortable clothing. Since many modifications use a chair, you do not need to sit on the floor. If you would like to use the floor, bring a mat or a beach towel. If you have any questions contact Anne.
Following the demonstration, we will have potluck dinner and a brief team
meeting. For information about the Congregational Care Team, contact
Diane Persson.
