John Boles will be recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of Rice University in graduation ceremonies on May 8. John is a 1965 graduate of Rice. He is the William P. Hobby Professor of History and the Managing Editor of the Hournal of Southern History. Congratulations, John!
Matthias Henze, professor of Hebrew Scripture at Rice University and husband of Pr. Liebster, has been invited to write a new commentary on 2 Baruch by the editors of “Commentaries on Early Jewish Literature.” The series is produced by Walter de Gruyter & Co., a prestigious German publishing house. Matthias estimates the project will take approximately 6 years to complete. Congratulations, Matthias!
