One out of every five Houstonians lives in poverty. Many of them are working hard to “make ends meet,” but need a little extra assistance with food, clothing or shelter. At CCSC, we strive to follow Christ’s instruction, helping “the least of these” with their most basic necessities.
The Emergency Services program helps approximately 25 households each day through the hard work and compassion of volunteer teams. We have a variety of jobs in the reception area, interviewing area, food pantry and clothing room. Openings are available for a few more folks to join us – especially on weekdays between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.!
