Concert of Music by Ann Gebuhr
A concert of music by Ann Gebuhr will be
offered at Christ the King Church on Friday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. Works to be
performed include chamber, solo vocal, and choral works as well as the opening
prologue to the second act of the opera Bonhoeffer. Two world premieres are included,
one being a new work for Baroque organ and the other the second movement of a
new violin concerto (with piano reduction). Performers include faculty singers
Lynda Keith McKnight, soprano; Robin Roewe, tenor; Richard Piersall, baritone;
Patricia Hendrickson, soprano; and Dalma Boronkai, soprano (alumnus); pianists
John Hendrickson, Daniel Kramlich, Steven Jones and John Gibson (student); organists
Rhonda Furr and Carol Nave (alumnus); violinist Rodica Weber, flutist Teresa Grawunder,
bassoonist Paul Harris, conductor John Yarrington and the Schola Cantorum of the
School of Music at HBU. There is no admission charge. A reception will follow
in the parish hall.
