Feed the Homeless is a gathering in which we meet at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, prepare meals, and deliver them to downtown homeless individuals. Feed the Homeless occurs on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.
We are looking at implementing this type of service project with campus and young adult groups in our synod in the spring, with Christ the King as host.
Come and get a feel for what this project is all about. We’ll be at Christ the Servant (near the corner of Westheimer and Wilcrest) at 5:45 p.m. on March 1 and March 15. Stay for as little or as long as you like.
Approximate Schedule:
5:45 - 7:30 p.m. : Prepare food / care packages at Christ the Servant
7:30 - 9:00 p.m. : Caravan from church to downtown destinations
Once done, we can leave from downtown without needing to return to Christ the Servant.
