The Houston Seminar is offering a three-session course this spring entitled “The Book of Psalms.” CTK member Matthias Henze, assistant professor of religious studies at Rice University, will guide discussion of the content and theology of selected psalms. The class will meet on three Wednesdays, March 23 and 31 and April 7, 12:30-2:00 p.m., at Compass Bank, 2001 Kirby at San Felipe, Second Floor.
In the biblical books of the Prophets and in the Torah, God reaches out to us. In the Psalms, we reach out to God. The biblical Psalms are a record of our quest for God and a revealing portrayal of the human condition. Suggested reading: Nahum M.
